Scuba Diving in Kaş
The clear sea of Kaş makes it suitable for diving. It is one of the leading diving centers in Turkey and even in the world. As of 2012, Kaş Kekova Marine Protected Area has been declared. For this reason, aquaculture is prohibited in this region.

Free Diving in Kaş
Free diving is one of the sports branches where people can feel the freest. In freediving, there is no tube and you dive by controlling your breathing.
Difference Between Scuba Diving and Freediving
In scuba diving, you dive with an oxygen cylinder and its equipment. In freediving, you only wear goggles. During free diving, you can see more sea creatures compared to scuba diving.
Saklikent Safari Jeep
Saklıkent Canyon is 63 km from Kaş. Crossing the cold waters of the canyon with a jeep has become a tradition over the years. You have the chance to see not only the canyon but also many beauties in the surrounding area.
Sea Kayak in Kaş
Canoeing (rowing) in Kaş is the best way to see the surrounding beauties in their most natural form and up close… You also get to do sports while traveling. You can choose one or two-person canoes.

Kas Yoga Community
You can do yoga in the open air every morning in Kaş center. Kas Yoga Community income is used for the benefit of street animals. Lessons are taught in English and you bring your mat.

Horse Safari
There are two horse farms around Kaş. Even if you have never ridden before, the horses are trained and you can safely ride the pre-set routes.
Activities Around Patara
- After exploring the ruins and tired of the beach, there are plenty of local activities to keep you busy.
- Birdwatching: Sharp-eyed birders can spot bee-eaters, black redtails, crested larks, woodcocks, black-eared wheat ears, black-headed buntings, chiffchaffs, and common hawks in this protected area.
- Canoeing and rafting: Head to the nearby Dalaman river for adrenaline-filled thrills or explore more tranquility on the local waterways.
- Horseback Riding: Ride through the slopes and riverbeds on horseback or gallop along Patara Beach.
- Walking: The Lycian Way stretches three hundred miles from Antalya to Fethiye. The road passes through Patara, so you can enjoy the iconic walking path.
- Saklıkent Valley: High in the mountains, the strongly flowing river cuts through a narrow valley between the rocks, forming a canyon three hundred meters deep and eighteen kilometers long. Visitors can explore the canyon, which is a cool refuge even on the hottest days of summer.
- Jeep Tours: Jeeps take visitors up the hills, exploring beautiful mountain villages and taking in the stunning scenery. Most excursions last all day and include lunch.
- Xanthos: The history of Xanthos, once the capital of Lycia, dates back at least ten thousand years. A stunning and very interesting collection of ruins for those who love all things historical, located on a hillside overlooking the Xanthos Valley.
- Kalkan: Kalkan, a beautiful hillside village, is only a twenty-minute drive from Patara Beach. Here you'll find fine dining, a beautiful ancient harbor, and beautifully whitewashed bougainvillea-adorned villas spread out along the water's edge.
- Islamlar: Ten minutes from Kalkan, Islamlar is a mountain retreat in the scenic Taurus Mountains. There are only a few houses, a mosque, a tea garden, and a flour mill in the village. This tranquil place is worth visiting.
- Kaş: Just over an hour away, the emerald green peninsula Kaş is an idyllic place on the Mediterranean coastline. Popular with hippies, artists, and peace-loving people, Kas is well worth a visit or a longer stay.
- Gombe and Green Lake: The stunning Green Lake is about 6500 feet above sea level and is famous for its healing waters that are filled with melted snow. Near the lake is the village of Gombe, a nomadic town inhabited by friendly, hospitable people who sell their handicrafts to visitors.
